_message #3 failed try
So I went forth and tried some new idea for an ad and it failed in my opinion. In addition I have to figure out how to add more fonts to GIMP. The basis for the two page spread seen underneath is a photo by Aldo Fallai, for clothing by Giorgio Armani. But the grid idea, in which I wanted to put smaller fictional information, such as locations or collection looks bad to me. In a website format such a grid might be used to redirect people towards the element that interests them. Formal photos could be changed in a dia-projected fashion and the colours changing depending on the time of day in the location of the user, or the surfing behaviour, or browsing history. The visual language and colour scheme could be used in brick&mortar shops, website and print advertising. The grid highlighting details could help educate the onlooker. But in its current execution it sucks. The colour scheme was intended to be summery, with a throwback to the late eighties, early nineties vibe, but now...
